I’ve always been weird about wearing tight clothes and bikini’s. I mean even when I was in high school and a size 5…I had major insecurities about my body. Fast forward 10 years, I have my son, and I gain 92 lbs. in the process. Wow-za.
I remember I would constantly look at myself in the mirror and think, “How did this happen?”
Well, for one, I craved MILK. Not just milk, but the real deal whole milk. I would drink 2 gallons a week by myself. Also, I was never the cleanest eater, I more opted for portion control. You know, one piece of pizza instead of 3 or 4. Half of my meal at Olive Garden instead of the entire plate. But, when you’re eating for two, well…you pretty much eat for two.
Because of that, after the pregnancy, I thought the weight would fall right off. I was 100% WRONG! Something changed. Even though my eating habits had returned to normal, the weight was going nowhere.
I struggled that way for 2 years. I tried everything. Finally, as a last ditch effort, I went in to Bob’s Gym and decided I would start out slow.
The plan was to start by going to a few classes a week. As things progressed I would sign up for walks, then 3K, then 5K and finally, when I felt totally ready, I signed up for a Bob’s Gym trainer.
Now, here I am 3 years later at my goal weight and have more confidence than ever.
To celebrate, I attached a picture of my “Bob’s Booty” with this article. And, you know, why not? I’ve had body issues my whole life and now I finally feel great about my body. This is my “Bob’s Booty” and I’m proud of it.
(Shoulda’ probably ran that photo through an Instagram filter though, LOL)
