Movie Review: The Vow

shawnda mcneal vow movie review

There is a reason “The Vow” is the #1 movie.

And that reason is: the movie is not what you expect it to be. I’ve heard that it’s exactly like “The Notebook.” In my opinion…not even close. I started crying 5 minutes in to it.  The Notebook got zero Shawnda-Tears.

Now that I think about it…PMS could have had something to do with my emotional meltdown.

However, the movie really does bring you in before it even gets started. It’s based off a true story so you know going in to it…what you’re about to see, it pretty much really happened.

I mean, you know, maybe not all of it happened, but that’s what I tell myself.

The way Leo (Channing Tatum) loves Paige (Rachel McAdams) is disgustingly sweet. The story is very easy to follow and doesn’t end how you think it will end. I don’t want to spoil it. GO SEE IT!

Oh, by the way….

The Butt Shot

Are most women really turned on by a naked guy? I’m not just talking about being shirtless…I’m talking FULL ON NUDE. My girlfriends and I talk about this often and we all come to the conclusion that guys are more physical and girls are just turned on by their emotional connection with the guy.

In other words, do I think my husband’s naked body is hot because I’m emotionally attached to him?

Or, is he just hot?

I’m second guessing my theory though.

Why? When I went to see “The Vow” and found myself praying Channing Tatum gave us a butt shot. I’m not emotionally attached to Channing. I just really wanted to see him naked.

Aaaand, I got my wish. Aaaand, now I feel kind of pervy. Totally worth it though.
